This agency currently supports one person. Therefore we looked at the arrangements in place to support the person. We found that the person had their care assessed; care plans were in place, supported by risk assessments to keep people safe. We looked at the staff that supported the person and found they were appropriately recruited, trained and supported. Records showed that this person was involved in their care. The person received regular care and support from a small team of consistent support staff.

A relative of someone receiving a service from 1 Stop Rec told us that they on the whole they were satisfied that the care provided was good. They made positive comments about staff saying “They really did treat [our relative] with respect. Staff were polite and caring.”

A relative also said that there were occasions when the time staff arrived was too late and “Communication could have been better.”

We found that the agency had a wide range of policies and procedures in place for the safe running of the agency. Staff were aware of the procedures they had to follow. We saw that record keeping was well organised and the provider was able to provide all relevant records when requested.
