13th June 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

The surgery had leaflets available outlining different treatment options including root canal, fillings and crowns. They also had leaflets with information about care for children's teeth, how diabetes affects oral health and tooth decay. Information about fees was available in both English and Mandarin. Information about the hygienist was also available in English and Mandarin.

Treatment plans were drawn up with consideration to patients needs. A medical history was taken at the first visit and people would have to bring details of any medication they were taking. Staff had been trained in life support. Medical equimpent for emergencies was available and all medication was in date.

There was an infection control policy in place. On the day of the visit the surgery was clean and well maintained. Staff gave a demonstration of the decontamination process which was in line with their policy. Staff changed their uniform daily and wore protective clothing when treating people.
