12th March 2012 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We spoke to three people in private who were extremely pleased with the service they were receiving and only had the highest compliments for all the staff they came into contact with during their visits. They all indicated that they felt fully involved in their treatment. They told us they always had available treatment options explained clearly for them. They also noted that they were given as much time as they needed, after initial consultations, to make choices about what treatment to receive.

The people we spoke with said that the practice was always clean. Each person we asked confirmed that the dentists and nurses always offer them glasses to protect their eyes, wear these themselves and that they always wear disposable gloves. People told us that they are treated by staff who always wear appropriate protective equipment, including gloves, eye protection and small mouth masks. People told us they see the staff always washing hands before, during and after treatments. Each person we spoke with indicated that they thought the treatment rooms were very clean and very hygienic.
