8th July 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We spoke with five people who used the service and were attending appointments. People told us that they were happy with the service that they were provided with and that they had been using the service for many years. One person said, "I've been coming for years, I have always been very happy, they are always nice and friendly." Another person said, "I have been coming here for at least 10 years, been to a few before that were not as good. My parents come here too and they are very happy." Another person said, "They are very nice, brilliant in fact."

Two people allowed us to observe their treatment. We also observed the interaction between staff and people who used the service when they arrived for their appointments and left the service. We saw that the staff interacted with people in a friendly, respectful and professional manner.

People told us that the waiting and treatment areas were always clean and tidy. What we saw during our inspection confirmed this. One person said, “Yes always clean.” Another person said, "It is always clean, I think they work very hard to make sure it is."

We found that staff were provided with appropriate continuous professional development to meet the needs of the people who used the service.
