28th August 2013 - During an inspection to make sure that the improvements required had been made
This was a follow up inspection to review if improvements had been made to the safety and suitability of equipment, and the checks that had been made on staff to ensure staff were suitable for their role. We found that the required improvements had been made.
17th April 2013 - During a routine inspection
We spoke with people who used the service and they told us they were happy with Abbey Dental. One person told us that they had been coming to the practice for a number of years and said "It's very good. Close to the best and I trust my dentist implicitly". We were told that if the dentist says it won't hurt, then it doesn't hurt. Another person told us they like the practice because it was clean and appointments are usually on time and another person told us the staff are very pleasant and friendly. We found concerns with the availability and suitability of some equipment and the checks that had been made on staff.
