31st October 2012 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

People told us they were happy with the dental care and treatment they received from Abbey Dental Practice. One person said, "I am happy with the service here." Another person said, "Staff are very welcoming they are lovely and very pleasant."

We found that people's dental care and treatment needs were assessed and their treatment was planned. People said they felt safe when in receipt of care, and staff were aware of their responsibilities in relation to protecting people from harm or abuse. One person said, "I have never felt unsafe here." We saw that people were cared for in a clean and hygienic environment and infection control was appropriately managed. Staff were trained to an appropriate standard and were supported by the provider to deliver care and treatment to people safely.
