17th October 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We spoke with four patients’ parents and representatives who used the practice and they told us they were very satisfied with the treatment and care that their children had received. One person said “we were very happy with the service; the staff are very professional and friendly too”

People we spoke with told us that proposed treatment plans were always explained and discussed, including choices and options about suitable treatments. One person told us “it was very informative; everything was explained in detail”.

People said that staff were always helpful and ready to explain the treatment and answer any questions they had. One person said “we felt comfortable and they gave us confidence”.

We found that oral health care advice was provided by the practice and patients’ medical information was kept up-to-date. One person told us “they devoted time in explaining the importance of cleaning teeth properly”.

We found that the practice had arrangements in place to protect patients’ welfare and safety and people told us that the practice was always clean, and that they had no concerns regarding cross infection.

We found that arrangements were in place to monitor the quality and safety of the service that the practice provided.

22nd February 2012 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

People who we spoke with told us they were involved in making decisions about their care and treatment. They told us they were happy to be treated in the same room as other patients and found the practice staff very helpful and professional.

People told us the appointment system was efficient, and they never had to wait long for an appointment. People told us their medical history was always discussed at every visit. They told they were always asked about any medication.

People said they were well cared for by the orthodontic team. Comments from the people we spoke with included: “They are fantastic here”. “Everyone is so friendly and helpful”. “They are really good at explaining things”.

People we spoke with told us they always felt safe during their visits to the practice. They said the practice was always clean and tidy and they had no concerns about infection control.
