25th September 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We spoke with four people to find out their opinion of the service provided by the practice. They all told us they were very satisfied with the service they received. People said their privacy and dignity was always respected. Comments included, "The reception area is private because it is separate from the waiting room so people can not listen to your conversation" and "they explain all the different options available."

People we spoke with made positive comments about the treatment they received. They said their treatment and procedure had been explained to them at each stage. Comments included, "The staff put me at ease," "I come every six months and I'm very pleased with the service" and "I was terrified of dentists but I don't mind coming here."

We found the premises were clean and hygienic and the staff were fully aware of the procedures to follow to maintain this. People told us they always found the practice clean and hygienic.

We checked staff records and found these showed the provider had appropriate systems in place for the recruitment of staff.

There was an effective system in place to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service that people received which included audits and checks of records and equipment. The provider used surveys to seek feedback from people about the quality of the service.
