24th February 2012 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We spoke with six patients who had attended the clinic for treatment, either on the day of our visit, or on the previous day. Everyone said they had been treated with courtesy and respect, and had felt relaxed and reassured during their treatment. Patients told us that options, benefits and risks for different treatments had been explained in detail. New patients could recall having had a full assessment of their treatment needs, and everyone understood the treatment they were receiving. We were also told that patients’ medical histories had been noted, and discussed appropriately. Everyone commented on the cleanliness of the clinic, and patients told us that personal protective equipment, such as masks and gloves, were worn at all times. Patients also valued the flexibility of the appointment system and receiving reminders of their appointments.
