9th May 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

Patients who used the service told us they were given appropriate information and support regarding their treatment options. They also told us all consultations and treatments were undertaken in private and they felt their dignity was respected and their privacy maintained. One comment made was;

“I have been a patient here for a number of years and actually chose this practice following a recommendation from a family friend. I find all the staff including the dentist polite and professional and I know I am receiving a good service.”

The two patients spoken with were very positive about the care and treatment they received and spoke highly of the staff team. They told us they felt they had enough time and information to make a decision about their treatment. They also reported that appointments were flexible to meet their needs and the practice was accessible, comfortable, clean and accommodating.

Records viewed were maintained. All areas of the service inspected including treatment rooms, the decontamination rooms and the waiting rooms were clean, tidy and well maintained. There were infection control policies and procedures in place to maintain patient safety.
