12th February 2014 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We spoke with five people who used the service. They told us they had their treatment options explained to them. We were told “treatment is explained clearly” and “I always get a written treatment plan.”

The patients we spoke with were positive about the treatment and service they received. Several patients we spoke with said the service was “very good” and they had “no problems.” One patient told us they “can’t fault them”, and another told us “I trust them here.” We were told the “staff are polite and friendly.”

Patients received a full assessment and examination when they were first seen at the service and these were reviewed periodically after that. The service was responsive when patients needed urgent treatment.

The service had processes in place to identify and taken appropriate action, if they had any safeguarding concerns.

There was a separate decontamination room and processes that ensured that equipment and facilities used by the service were cleaned and sterilised effectively.

Staff were appropriately registered and had carried out the necessary training to provide care and treatment.
