27th November 2012 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

This was the practice’s first inspection since dental services were required to register with the Care Quality Commission. During our inspection we checked that people using the dental practice had access to examinations in private. We asked people how they were involved in their treatment planning and whether they were invited to give feedback about their experiences. We also looked at the provider’s records and toured the building to ensure that people received safe and effective treatment in a clean environment.

We met and spoke with staff and checked records. Following the visit we contacted, with their permission, a selection of people who had attended the practice for check ups or treatment the week preceding our visit. We received replies from four people using our email questionnaire. People who responded to our questionnaire expressed high levels of satisfaction with the practice. Comments included;

• ‘The staff are all helpful.’

• ‘Yes I am happy with the level of cleanliness and the way instruments are used.’

• ‘Friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere.’

• ‘I am always informed about different treatments, as I always like to know all the details before making a decision.’
