6th February 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We spoke with three patients who all told us that they were very happy with the care and service that they received. The told us that it was easy to get an appointment and they fully understood all the treatment offered and costs involved.

We spoke with the nurses who all felt confident in their work because of training given and were knowledgeable in the required skills to competently carry out their tasks.

We found that the decontamination procedures were in line with national guidelines and the staff were consistently following these guidelines to ensure maximum safety of their patients.

The receptionists told us that confidentiality was very important in the practice and the security of the records was enabled by using secure passwords and coded locks.

The high clinical and management standards were maintained by the use of appropriate audits and subsequent practice meeting discussing their outcomes. The area manager and practice manager were able to show us evidence of these audits and their high degree of compliance.
