8th May 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

Patients that used the dental practice told us they were satisfied with the service they received. One patient we spoke with said, “You can’t fault it.” Patients said they were given enough information about their treatment and options available to them. They were given enough time to make decisions about their treatment. One said they were given “the right information” and it was “easy to understand”. Treatment was delivered according to the agreed plans and they received appropriate follow-up information. They told us the practice was clean and hygienic, and that the staff were friendly and put them at their ease.

We found that people were involved in and understood the care and treatment choices available to them. They experienced effective, safe and appropriate care and treatment. The provider had effective systems in place to ensure that patients were cared for in a clean and hygienic environment. There were systems to assess and monitor the quality of service that patients received. The provider was carrying out the necessary checks before staff started work.
