4th September 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We spoke with four patients who told us that they were happy with the service provided. Patients told us they were very satisfied with the practice. They said they never had to wait long for appointments, and in an emergency they had always been seen on the same day. One patient said "I am really nervous about dentists and the dentist has taken a lot of time to explain what she is doing". Another patient said "I have been cared for so well, I am very satisfied". Patients said their treatment plans were always explained and discussed with them, including choices about treatment and costs. Patients said that the practice was always clean, and all the staff were friendly and welcoming.

We found that before patients received any care or treatment they were asked for their consent and the provider acted in accordance with their wishes.

We found that staff received appropriate professional development. We found that patients were made aware of the complaints system. This was provided in a format that met their needs.
