9th December 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We spoke with one person who used the service and looked at the results of feedback surveys from 2013. People were satisfied with the care and treatment received. They felt that procedures had been explained well. Consent was implied, but was determined by the phlebotomist.

Care was planned in a way to ensure people's safety. People were seen by the phlebotomist who ensured that blood testing would be suitable. People were given advice if needed. There were procedures in place to deal with medical emergencies.

The clinic was clean and well maintained. There were systems in place to reduce the risk of infection, but there was no policy on infection control.

There was a complaints policy in place and people were given information on how to make a complaint if required. The person we spoke with and the results from feedback forms were complimentary about staff.
