The people we spoke with told us they were given good information to help them understand the dental procedures they would receive and were able to make informed decisions about their care and treatment. They said they were always spoken to in a respectful manner by staff and the staff were friendly, helpful and polite.

People told us they received the treatment they needed and did not have to wait unduly to receive an appointment. They told us they felt the practice treatment rooms were always clean and one person said “the practice is lovely”.

7th March 2012 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

People we spoke with told us that they were happy with the service provided. They said that the staff were friendly and polite and treated them with respect. They were offered their treatment in private, were able to discuss treatment choices and costs and felt involved in decisions about the dental care they received. They felt that the practice provided treatment that met their needs. The appointments system worked well and the practice was flexible in accommodating their needs.

Although these views were borne out by the majority of practices we looked at, we found that improvements were needed in the arrangements for infection control.
