People we spoke with told us they were given information and their treatment options were explained to them. They said they were given the opportunity to discuss their treatment with the dentist and make their own decisions. People said they were very happy with the care and treatment they received, they never felt rushed and their appointments were on time. One person told us, “I have had a lot of treatment here recently and it has been excellent, good aftercare too.”

We found the practice was clean and arrangements had been made to reduce the risk of infection. People we spoke with told us the practice was very clean and staff always wore protective clothing when treating them. One person said, “It is always immaculate, both the surgery and the waiting room.”

Staff received appropriate professional development. A training programme was in place to provide staff with the training and support they needed to maintain their qualifications. Patients were very complimentary about the staff. They said the staff were friendly, easy to speak to and always helpful. One person told us, “The staff are all very pleasant and helpful.”

The practice had an effective system to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service that people received. There was evidence that learning from incidents and investigations took place and appropriate changes were implemented. Patient survey results suggested high levels of satisfaction with the practice.
