Patients were treated with respect and dignity and were involved in discussion regarding their treatment. They were given appropriate support and advice.

Treatment was planned and delivered in a way that was intended to ensure patients' safety and welfare. We heard discussions about treatment options between patients and dentists.

The practice had procedures in place to be able to respond to any medical emergency that may have arisen.

The practice had taken reasonable steps to identify the possibility of abuse and prevent abuse from happening. All of the staff had received training in protecting vulnerable adults and children from abuse.

Patients were treated in a clean, hygienic environment and equipment used was tested and maintained in accordance with manufacturer's guidelines.

All of the staff received appropriate professional development and support.

People that used the dental practice told us that they were very happy with the service provided. One person had been with the practice for many years when they were an NHS practice. They told us that they had been informed when the practice changed to all private and had decided to stay with them. They felt that they had not had any reason to complain about any aspect of the service especially since one of the dentists had retired.

Once person did comment that it often took a long time for the phone to be answered when they tried to contact the practice but other than that no other complaints.

They felt they were given plenty of information about their treatment and it was always explained really well to them. They could ask any questions and were given enough time to do this.

We were told that the staff were very friendly and that they were always treated respectfully.
