15th October 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We spoke with two patients who had received treatment at the practice on the day of our inspection. Both patients told us they were very satisfied with the dental treatment they had received. They said the practice was welcoming and clean and bright. One patient said “I have come today for an initial examination. Everything was clearly explained including the charges.” Another patient said “I am a very nervous patient. I have been coming to the practice based at this location for many years but was anxious about seeing a different dentist. I am glad I did as this dentist was very pleasant and put me at ease.”

The staff team had only been formed over the last six months following a change in the provider of care and there had been clear efforts to foster a positive working culture. Staff told us they felt well supported in their roles.

We found the practice to be well organised with clear systems and procedures in place for all areas of work. The equipment within the two main treatment rooms had been fully serviced after the location had changed ownership to ensure it was fit for purpose. Infection control standards were very good and regular checks were in place, to ensure these standards were maintained.
