21st February 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

People who use the service understood the care and choices available to them.

One patient consented and gave us an interview and advised us they fully understood the treatments they had been offered over nine years with the practice. They told us, ”I am very happy with the way I am treated here - it's as good as Harley Street where I have had previous treatment."

We examined five computerised patient record cards and found these demonstrated evidence of patient involvement in their treatment planning.

The manager demonstrated the cleaning process and a review of practice protocols gave evidence that HTM 01 05 guidelines for decontamination in dentistry - Essential Requirements were being complied with.

We found that staff received appropriate professional development.

We found that patients' records were kept securely and could be located promptly when needed.
