8th March 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We spoke with people attending appointments in the service. People spoke very highly about the quality of the dental service they received. People told us they felt respected by staff and were fully involved in the decisions about their dental care and treatment and that their privacy and dignity were respected. We observed that staff were very friendly and welcoming both in person and via telephone communications.

Records showed that people were involved in decisions about their care and treatment options and related cost.

We found that the surgery was clean and tidy and that staff understood the importance of infection control. We saw that there were effective systems in place to reduce the risk and spread of cross infection. We found that the staff were knowledgeable, appropriately trained and supported.
