22nd October 2012 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We spoke with people who used the service and they were very satisfied. People told us that it was ‘wonderful to ring up and get help as required’. People felt that they could access the service when they needed it. They also told us that any treatment required was ‘fully explained’. People felt consulted and informed about their options for dental care.

We also found that people who used the service were safeguarded from the risk of abuse because the provider had taken the appropriate steps.

The staff at the practice were well supported to carry out their roles. They had opportunities for professional development.

We found that the provider had sought feedback from people who used the service. They also had systems in place to monitor the quality of the service they provided. The provider had not completed a recent audit of their infection control procedures prior to our inspection, however we had no concerns regarding their standards of cleanliness and the provider planned to complete this audit following our inspection.
