29th May 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We spoke with two people who used the service who told us they were very satisfied with the service they received. We also spoke with a child who told us they were happy to attend the practice.

People said they could make appointments easily and staff at the practice were polite and friendly. We observed people were greeted warmly.

People said they were well informed of the options available to them. Everyone we spoke with said they were aware of how much treatment would cost them. The dentist said people were able to go home and think about the options without being pressurised.

The practice was not accessible for people with mobility issues as the treatment rooms were not on the ground floor. The practice manager told us it was a topic regularly under discussion. They said people were generally referred to an alternative practice if they were unable to access Catherine Street practice.
