5th July 2013 - During an inspection to make sure that the improvements required had been made pdf icon

This report is a follow up to our report published in April 2013.

We inspected this provider on 15 February 2013, when we noted and brought to the provider’s attention some issues which had a minor impact on people using the service. These related to arrangements for dealing with medical emergencies and the carrying out of risk assessments and audits regarding cleanliness and infection control. We set compliance actions requiring the provider to take steps to comply with Regulation 9 (2) and Regulation 12 of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2010.

Following our report, the provider sent us a plan of the actions proposed to meet the requirements of the regulations. We made a further visit on 5 July 2013 to check on the actions the provider had taken. We found that the actions were appropriate and sufficient to comply with the regulations.

The practice was friendly, welcoming and informative. We saw that patients were listened to in all areas of the practice. The surgery was clean throughout and there was evidence of high quality service delivery. Patients were consented appropriately and the staff were well trained and caring.

Patients were complimentary about the practice they said that the staff were "very good". They felt that they were treated with respect and dignity. They told us that they were "fully informed" about the choices, costs, alternatives and possible outcomes of their treatment.
