18th February 2014 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We spoke with three people using the service, two staff members and the provider during our visit to CHDP Limited.

People using the service told us that they would recommend the practice to friends and family saying "very efficient, a nice environment", "not a scary place, the treatment is not painful" and ""they're brilliant". Recent feedback seen from people using the service in the comments book provided included "brilliant for nervous patients" and "professional and caring".

Each person spoken to said that the treatment required was explained to them and the fees made clear. Comments included "yes they are up front with costs, no coercion to have treatment" and "I know what I am agreeing to".

We saw there were sufficient suitably qualified staff to carry out treatment and care. The staff spoken to said that they received the support and training they needed to do their jobs well and felt able to approach the provider should that have any issues or concerns.

Systems and routines were in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection at the surgery and we were shown how the decontamination of equipment was undertaken to ensure this.
