Patients told us that they were always given the information they needed about their treatment and the cost of treatment. They said that staff were willing to answer any questions they had and that decisions about treatment were made after consultation with them. One patient told us, “He [the dentist] outlines the different options available and we make a decision together.” Patients told us that they were happy with the service they received from the practice and that they were confident in the skills of the staff.

Patients said that staff were helpful and professional. One patient told us, “They’re all really good. They’re professional and friendly and they put you at ease.” Staff had access to the training and support they needed and opportunities for professional development. Staff were clear about their responsibilities in relation to reporting abuse and had been given information about how to report concerns.

There were systems in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection. Staff followed appropriate working practices in relation to infection control, treatment rooms were clean and hygienic and all equipment was tested and serviced regularly to check that it was working correctly.
