24th April 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We spoke with eight people using the service, they told us options were always discussed with them and they were involved in making decisions about their treatment. People also told us the risks and benefits of their treatment were explained to them and they were always asked to give their consent before any treatment was provided.

We reviewed people’s electronic records which showed a plan of their treatment including related costs and recall period. We were shown by the people we spoke with that they had been given a printed copy of their treatment plan.

We saw evidence of effective systems to reduce the risk and spread of infection within the practice.

The two staff members we spoke with told us they were supported by the registered manager of the service to perform their role at the practice.

We were shown assessments that were used to monitor and check the quality of the service provided at the practice.
