15th November 2012 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We spoke to a sample of three patients who were visiting the service during our inspection. They made various positive comments such as: “Staff are very friendly”; “I would always talk to the girls as they are really nice” and ”Staff are lovely, nothings too much trouble and they have always helped out in an emergency.”

Patients told us they were given various information about their treatment and understood the care and treatment choices available to them. Some of the patients we spoke to had been at the practice for many years. Everyone stated they were always consulted and they gave full consent about their treatment and check ups. They were all positive about their experiences about the service.

Long standing members of staff showed great stability in the staff team offering good continuity to patients.

The service had carried out a recent patient survey in October 2012. Overall positive comments had been made including “Happy, friendly, always polite and helpful with care and attention.” The service provided ways for patients to express their views and comments and this helped to inform the provider to review the practice facilities.
