15th November 2012 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We spoke with five people who had received treatment at the clinic. People said the care was "excellent". One person who described themselves as a previously nervous patient said they "trusted (the dentist) implicitly, because they knew he would take everything into account", before advising or treating them. Everyone said they had obtained an appointment when needed, including in an emergency.

The clinic was clean and organised. Protective personal equipment was available and used appropriately. Infection control audits were undertaken to ensure procedures were followed.

Staff demonstrated a good understanding of safeguarding and how to respond appropriately if they suspected abuse. Staff told us they were happy working at the clinic and supported each other.

The clinic had systems in place to monitor the quality of the service.
