27th November 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

During our inspection visit, we spoke with three people who had visited the centre for dental treatment. They were all complimentary of the treatment they received from the dentist and the staff. One person said “The dentist is very helpful. The staff are very nice and the environment is always very clean.” Another person said “The service is very good, highly technical. I would recommend this centre to anybody. I have confidence in the dentist. They play my favourite music for me which make me feel at ease.”

We found that the provider was meeting the standards we had inspected. People's privacy and dignity had been respected and they had been involved in the decisions about their treatment. People had been provided with information about the service, opening times and the costs. People had a treatment plan that had been discussed with them. There were systems in place to control the spread of infection. Staff had been provided with relevant training for the work they did including keeping their registrations up to date with the General Dental Council. There were systems in place for assessing and monitoring the quality of service.

We noted that the premises were designed to be accessible to people with mobility problems and wheelchair users.
