When we arrived at the service we saw that information leaflets were available at the reception which included a price list for treatments available.

We spoke with people who used this service during our inspection. They told us they were happy with the standard of service they had received. One person told us, “I think I was one of the first patients and have been coming here over 5 years. We are very happy with the treatment”.

People were very pleased with the level of information provided by the service and the opportunity to make informed decisions about their treatment. Another person told us, “He does listen to what I have to say. During my last visit I had lost a filling and he asked me if I agreed to have a temporary filling while I considered two options. Cost is a factor”.

People told us they always felt safe in the service and we saw evidence that staff had been trained in safeguarding people from abuse.

We found the standards of hygiene and infection control to be satisfactory Effective procedures following appropriate guidance were in place.

The service had a formal complaints process though one person told us, “The dentist goes the extra mile to sort things out and picks up if there is a problem”.
