29th April 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We spoke with people who used the service and they all told us that they were very satisfied with the treatment they received. One person told us that ‘I am always treated as an individual and the dentist responds to my needs’. Another person told us ’I have 100% confidence in the dentist and the treatment I receive’.

People who used the service told us that they were involved in planning their treatment and making decisions about their dental care. People were given appropriate information and support regarding their care and treatment.

We found the practice clean and tidy. Infection control policies were followed and personal protective equipment was used appropriately by staff.

Staff we spoke with told us that they felt supported by the practice manager and dentist. Staff told us ‘the practice manager and dentist are brilliant, we feel valued and supported’. We saw that staff had received appropriate training and appraisals.

The provider had systems in place to monitor and assess the service provided. Information on making complaints and the process was clearly displayed in the reception area.
