18th April 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

People who used the service were complimentary about the staff and the treatment they received. They said that they were “Really pleased with the treatment”. They told us that the provider always took time to explain their treatment options to them. They said that they were given enough information about their treatment to enable them to make an informed decision about their treatment. One person said that the provider gave them “Very good explanations.“ of their treatment and options.

The provider took appropriate measures in order to ensure that people received treatment that met their individual needs. People told us that the provider always checked for any changes to their medication and carried out a thorough dental examination.

The provider had established appropriate systems and procedures to protect people from the risks of healthcare associated infections. We saw that the premises were clean and well maintained. The people we spoke with told us that the premises “Always looked clean.”

The provider regularly monitored the quality of the service and assessed potential risks to patients, staff and others who visited the premises.
