All of the patients with whom we spoke gave us positive feedback about the practice. All said that the quality of care was very high and that staff had the skills and experience to meet their needs and provide a good service. We ask a range of questions about the quality of the service provided and all comments made were very positive with no concerns raised.

Patients we spoke with said " Yes I am very happy. Have no concerns about the quality of care". One patient told us “I have been coming here for years, I am very happy. He is a good dentist. I would not go anywhere else". Another commented “I cannot praise them highly enough. Staff are very good”.

Although the practice was clean there were no records to show that a risk assessment was in place to help ensure and maintain good standards of hygiene as required by the Health Technical Memoranda 01-05: Decontamination in primary dental care practices (HTM 01-05).

The practice enabled patients to give feedback following a consultation at the reception desk. Regular patient satisfaction feedback forms had also been collected and encouraged to be completed to enable the practice to monitor the quality of care. Regular health and safety audits and checks were also in place.

Patients said that they were happy with the service provided. They thought that they had been given enough information about their treatment options and about the fees they would have to pay. They considered that their treatment had been delivered in a reliable way so as to meet their dental needs. They were satisfied that the surgery and the equipment used had been clean and they were confident that staff knew about the importance of good hygiene.

One patient said, 'I like the way the dentist takes the time to tell you what he's doing and discusses how to avoid problems in the future. I think he really cares about his patients which makes me feel reassured'.
