10th April 2013 - During an inspection in response to concerns pdf icon

We spoke with two people using the service during the visit. Both praised the dentists and said they were very satisfied with the service they received. One person told us “I have complete confidence in the dentist” and another described their treatment as excellent.

People using the service told us they thought the practice was clean, with one person describing it as pristine. They also confirmed that staff wore personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves, aprons and masks when treating them and we saw there were plentiful supplies of these.

We did not find that any of the information of concern reported to us in March 2013 was verified.

7th August 2012 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

People told us staff were friendly and approachable and spoke to them in a respectful way. One person told us "staff are polite" and everyone told us they were pleased with the way they were dealt with and the general approach of staff.

One person said “they explain things very well”. We were told “it’s a good practice”, the service was described as “wonderful” and we were told “they do a good job”. One person told us the dentist was “understanding” and another said they were “put at ease”.

We were also told that appointments ran smoothly and were usually on time and that medical histories were checked on each visit.

No one was aware of the complaints procedure and we were told that people were not asked for their opinions of the service.
