20th March 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

People who used the service told us they were satisfied with the care and treatment provided. One person said, "I'm very happy with my treatment, I wouldn't go any where else".

People spoken with confirmed they were aware of their treatment plan and said they had discussed various treatment options with the dentist.

People were treated in a clean environment and arrangements were in place for the safe decontamination of reusable instruments and equipment. They said they regularly saw staff making sure that the surgery was clean, tidy and hygienic.

People who used the service were aware how they could raise any concerns and suitable arrangements were in place to respond to any complaints. None of the people spoken with had any concerns about the service.

When we looked at staff records we saw evidence that all staff had been professionally trained to the level their positions required and that they had completed training in other appropriate courses.

The provider had systems in place for gathering, recording and evaluating information about the quality and safety of care the service provides. People who used the service and their representatives were asked for their views about their care and treatment. We also saw evidence and people confirmed that they liked the early hours opening because it allowed them to be treated before going to work.
