2nd May 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

People who used the service told us that staff listened to them and “Explained things well” to ensure they could understand and make informed decisions about their treatment. People told us that consent to their treatment was obtained as part of their dental examination and that they were provided with information about different options that were available.

We found that people had signed to indicate their agreement to their particular treatments. We saw that information was available to help people to engage with their treatment and take responsibility for various aspects of their health. We found that clinical assessments of people were carried out as part of their dental health consultation and that relevant associated known risks to people’s health were assessed, to ensure these were minimised and that people were kept safe from potential harm.

People told us they felt “Safe” and were “Confident” that appropriate action would be taken to resolve issues when this was required. People told us the practice was clean and that they saw staff “Always wearing and changing gloves.”

People said that staff were “Professional” and “Nice.” One person told us they had used the service for four years and “Never had a problem,” whilst another said staff were “Lovely” and “All so polite.”

People told us they were “Happy” with the service that was provided and were “Very satisfied” with the service they received.
