6th December 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We saw the practice encouraged patient feedback through patient surveys. We saw results of the patient survey were audited to review specific areas. For example, opening hours and dentists knowledge of medical history.

We spoke with three people who used the service who told us they were happy with the care they received. One person told us; “They always do what needs doing.”

We noted the practice was clean and tidy. However there was a fabric chair in surgery two. We discussed this with the practice manager during our inspection and were informed that this would be removed.

We were able to review staff files and saw that all staff had received safeguarding training. We spoke with four members of staff who were able to give examples of what signs they would look for to indicate a person was suffering from abuse.

We saw there was a complaints policy in place and the people we spoke with were happy they could raise a complaint with the practice. However the information available in the practice did not incorporate the NHS Complaints Procedure 2009. We discussed this during our inspection and were informed that documentation would be updated to include this.
