Patients consent was obtained prior to treatment. The provider told us that they respected the person's right to refuse treatment. One patient said “treatment is up to you, there is no pressure.”

We spoke with staff and saw records that showed care and treatment was planned and delivered in line with their individual treatment plan. Patients were recalled at intervals based on their individual needs. One patient said “before I came here I was petrified and the dentist here is very calming and put me at ease.” All of the patients we spoke with said they would recommend the dentist.

The premises were clean and well maintained. One patient told us cleanliness was “100%". We saw that audits had been carried out by the provider to monitor infection control using guidelines as detailed in the Department of Health Technical Memorandum 01-05 (HTM 01-05).

Appropriate checks were undertaken before staff began work and effective recruitment, selection, employment and education processes were in place.

People that used the dental practice told us they were extremely happy with the service provided. People said they were provided with excellent information both about the treatments and the cost of different treatments. They said the staff were brilliant people and very helpful.
