12th June 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We met with the dentist and the Practice Manager who is the also registered manager of the practice and four members of staff. We spoke with three members of staff and obtained the views of three patients who used the service.

The three patients who expressed their views told us they were happy with the service and with the treatment they had received. One patient told us “I have been coming here for 10 years I am very happy with the service”. Another patient told us they had enough information about their treatment and that they could always ask for more information if they needed it. One patient said "I get all the information I need from talking to the dentist".

Patients' needs were assessed and treatment plans were agreed with them. One patient said "I am told at every stage what is involved in my treatment".

Staff we spoke with were very positive and told us they were well supported. One staff member told us “We meet regularly to discuss practice issues and bring issues to the meeting which affects the practice".

The practice had robust infection control measures in place to ensure patients were protected from cross contamination.

The practice monitored the quality of the service it provided by gaining feedback from patients who used the service.
