6th June 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We spoke with three patients during a visit to the surgery. They were satisfied with the treatment received at the practice. All had used the service for several years and described their experiences as “excellent” or “good”. One patient said they would not go anywhere else. They told us that explanations were good and they were asked for their consent before treatment was carried out . They could get information when they needed it and had no complaints. We were told staff were friendly and respectful and the service responded well to emergency requests for treatment.

We found that systems were in place for the prevention and control of infection, and other monitoring took place to check the quality of the service. Staff were aware of their role if they had suspicions or concerns about patients they thought may have experienced abuse. Although we found evidence of staff training the provider had not formal system in place to check that all training required was received by staff.
