23rd January 2014 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We spoke with nine people who used this dental practice by telephone after the inspection took place. They all told us they were pleased with the quality of the service provided. They felt they were treated respectfully and that treatments were clearly explained to them. One person said: “I have been going to this dentist for years. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. They explain everything and are always friendly”.

We found that people’s care and welfare needs were met and their consent was sought prior to any treatment received. One person we spoke with said: “I’ve had a lot of treatment at the surgery. The dentist is very, very good. Always puts me at my ease and asks me if I’m ok to go ahead with the treatment”.

We found that there were systems in place to ensure that people were treated in a safe, clean and hygienic environment and protected from the risk of cross infection.

Staff received the training and support they needed to provide a safe and appropriate service that met people’s care and welfare needs.

There were effective systems in place to assess and monitor the quality of the service provided.
