5th August 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We visited Dr Bhargavi Bhatt to look at the care and treatment provided to people who used the service.

All the people we spoke with were very happy with the service they had received that day. One person told us “They have very good staff, and are very friendly. They also gave me some helpful advice.” Another person said “I felt that the dentist listened to me and was very patient. I didn’t feel like I was being rushed.” A third person told us “I get a very good service here. The staff are friendly and know your name. You’re not a number here”

People told us that they felt respected by staff, and were able to take part in decisions about their treatment. One person told us “I was given options for my treatment, and the dentist went through the pros and cons of each. I was fully aware of the risks and benefits.”

People told us that their treatment plans were discussed with them. Medical histories were reviewed before treatment was given. People said they were able to get appointments when they needed them.

The people we spoke with told us they felt safe with the staff.

We saw that practice was clean, and well maintained. People told us they were happy with the standard of cleanliness.

We saw that records of qualifications, criminal record checks and professional registrations were up to date.

We saw that where complaints had been made clear records had been made. This included the action that had been taken to resolve the complaint.
