19th December 2012 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

People using the service were supported to be involved in, and make choices about, their course of treatment. They received a written treatment plan, based on a thorough assessment of their oral health needs, and had time to consider their options before any dental work was started.

We found that people were treated safely by trained and experienced staff who kept their skills and knowledge up to date. Care and treatment was provided in a clean and hygienic environment, where professional guidance was followed to protect people from the risk of infection.

The people we spoke with were very complimentary about the service they received. Their comments included, “They’re a good team, all very pleasant and helpful”; “I’ve always been very pleased with the service”; and, “He is an excellent dentist”. People had access to information about making complaints, and told us they had no concerns about standards at the practice.
