9th November 2012 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

All the patients we spoke with were positive about the quality of dental service they received. They told us staff were friendly and approachable. Patients felt that they were treated with respect and dignity.

We observed interaction between patients and staff. We saw staff taking time to explain to patients their dental care and to listen to them. Patients told us the dentists gave them the information they needed to make their own decisions. A patient said: “You ask a thousand questions –there is no problem”. Patients confirmed that the costs of treatment were explained to them before their treatment started.

We noted that arrangements were in place for infection control checks and cleaning the clinic. Patients we spoke with told us the clinic was “very clean and hygienic”. Staff had knowledge about infection control and decontamination procedures for equipment and instruments used.
