6th March 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

During our inspection we spoke with four people who use the service, two dentists, the practice receptionist and one dental nurse. All people we spoke with told us they were happy with the dental services provided, felt care was provided in a clean environment and were free to ask questions and make choices about the care and treatment options available to them. One person said, “I moved out of the area and tried other dentists but l ended up coming back to register here, that must say a lot about the care I receive”. Another person told us that the dentist had put their mind at ease each time they attended appointments as they were nervous. We noted that people received care in a clean environment as all necessary infection control procedures were adhered to.

Staff had sufficient training to provide care. The provider had a good system in place to record and follow up any complaints and people confirmed that they were aware of the complaints policy.
