25th June 2013 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

We spoke with four patients who used the service. They were all happy with the care and treatment that they had received. One person said about the practice, "They have been wonderful." Another said about the dentist, "He's very professional, very informative."

All of the patients we spoke with said the dentists clearly explained the treatments available to them and what they would cost. They all said they received written confirmation of this so they always knew what to expect.

The practice had policies and procedures in place for safeguarding vulnerable adults and children. All staff had received training on safeguarding and understood their roles and responsibilities in relation to this. This meant that patients who used the service were protected from the risk of abuse.

We observed that the treatment rooms in the practice were clean and hygienic. The practice had effective policies and procedures in place to control the risk of infection.
