We spoke with four people who use the service. People said they were provided with information about the treatment and the cost of the various treatments. They said the dentist always answered their questions relating to their treatment satisfactorily. One person said, “He explained the procedure in detail. I was gob smacked how long it would take but it all went well.” Another person said, “All my questions were answered fully. I was told that I could change my mind to have treatment at any time.”

People were confident that their needs were assessed and care and treatment was planned and delivered in line with their individual treatment plan.

We found equipment used in the service was appropriately maintained to ensure people were not at risk from the use of unsafe equipment. There were effective systems in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection.

The service had an effective recruitment and selection procedure in place to ensure staff were appropriately recruited. There were systems in place to deal with comments and complaints including providing people who use the service with information about the system.
