22nd January 2014 - During a routine inspection pdf icon

As part of our inspection we spoke with two patients and observed one patients' consultation. The patients we spoke with told us they were "Happy" with the treatment received at the service. They also told us that it was easy to get an emergency appointment at the practice. One patient we spoke with said "They are always very good here" and "I never have a problem booking an appointment".

We looked at the records for five patients and saw that patients had regular visits and their medical history had been updated at each visit and reviewed by their dentist. This meant that patients were being treated safely and the practice had ensured that their dental health was maintained.

We spoke with five members of staff who were able to describe different signs of abuse against vulnerable adults and children. They were all confident with the reporting procedures and knew who to contact should they have any concerns.

The practice had systems in place to monitor the quality of the service. Good infection control procedures were followed to maintain the safety of patients.
